🚗 Access by car
The track from the village to the take-off site is quite rough, especially at the beginning.
- If your car is low, leave it in the village and walk down.
- If it is higher or an SUV, you can drive down slowly and carefully.
💡 GPS does not always choose the right route. The video shows the real route and the main reference points.
🚶♂️ Access on foot
On foot, you can go almost in a straight line from the village, passing next to the blue ruins until you reach the green carpet at the take-off site.
The terrain is dirt and a little uneven, but the walk is short.
Note: make sure you have arranged to meet the pilot at Giles Norte, as there is more than one take-off site. If you have not been explicitly sent here for the day of your flight, ask again before going. You can see all the take-off sites in this guide:

- Wear good footwear, whether you are flying or only accompanying someone.
- Bring water, especially if you walk down.
- Avoid flip-flops or soft shoes: the terrain has loose stones.

Where is the Los Giles Norte take-off site?
At the end of the village of Los Giles, in the north of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, you will find the beginning of the path that goes down to the take-off site.
Can I go down with a normal car?
Only if you drive slowly. The beginning of the track is the worst part. If your car is low, it is better to leave it in the village and walk down.
How long does it take to walk?
About 10 to 15 minutes at a relaxed pace.
Is there space to park at the top?
Yes, but do not block the way.
